Theme Parks

I'm going to use all the questions posed in the lecture as a platform instead of answering them all individually.
It's pretty difficult to come up with a completely original, or an original at anything game nowadays as "everything's a remix."

So I was thinking about the desolate, abandoned, overgrown theme parks that exist in the world. Disney's River Country has been a big influence in my idea. There was this story of the theme park's waters not being purified correctly and so it had to close down, and there are pictures of their water slides being overgrown after having been abandoned for so long.

Using these stories as inspiration, I came up with a theme park management which is basically just like any other. However, all the events that occur, will mostly be negative and disasters for the player. Parts of the park must go under maintenance (to be fixed/cleaned regularly) every few months or possibly years, although the user will not know the time frame. Maintenance costs, but fixing the park's attractions cost a lot more. I haven't quite figured it out yet but basically, the amusement park will go down hill and deteriorate, the longer you play, the harder it will be, so the player needs to figure it out and keep it going for as long as they can.
